President and Artistic Director, Ms. Kelly Elliott Clark, holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies K - 8 from Western Governor's University and is a certified Pre K - 5th grade teacher. Kelly’s youth, high school and community theater experience include the direction of over 70 productions including such shows as Giants in the Sky, Tut, Tut!, School House Rock Live! Jr., Grease, Cabaret, The Wizard of Oz and Godspell. She has performed in over 25 productions beginning at the tender age of 7 in the Revere High School 1969 production of David and Lisa. Kelly became the Drama Advisor of Revere High School in 1986, producing 3 plays yearly in addition to the drama club. Her enthusiasm and knowledge dramatically increased the drama club budget as well as launched the Senior Citizens Breakfast and the Revere Players Boosters. In 1986, Kelly began a children’s theater workshop she designed and developed that was a 10-week workshop for children ages 8 – 15 for the Western Reserve Playhouse. She successfully taught all aspects of community theater. The workshop concluded with a full-phased theater production. The program was a great success for 14 years and she returned to Western Reserve Playhouse in Bath, Ohio as the Creative Director for the 5 years. Her professional experience was with Kentucky Center for the Arts, The Louisville Theatrical Association and Stage One: Professional Theater for young audiences, as their Associate Director of Sales and Marking of Education Programs and also had the opportunity instruct and teach various drama content at local schools including play-writing, directing and technical elements. Kelly has had a great deal of volunteer leadership experience including her recent position as President, as well as various other positions with the AMVETs Ladies Auxiliary Post 176, Richfield. Her past experiences include serving as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Trustee of the Board of Trustees at the Western Reserve Playhouse and also served as a Trustee at Royalton Players in Cleveland, Ohio. Kelly also served on the board of the Richfield Joint Recreation District and was instrumental in its formation and of the purchase of Richfield Heritage Preserve. She currently is employed as a Title 1 Math Tutor at Copley-Fairlawn Middle School.
