The Youth Performance Guild will produce two productions annually as well as three spring workshops including Broadway BootCamp and other acting classes. In The Youth Performance Workshops, your child will engage in activities that will teach them to be on stage and learn the tools of the actor including vocalization, improvisation, and movement. Actors will be introduced to musical theater and engage in a work of comedy. All participants will perform in a comedy, a musical play or work backstage if preferred.
The Lamplighters Broadway BootCamp your child will learn specific tools to help them develop and grow in musical theatre. Each session works toward building a foundation that will help young actors be successful onstage. Young performers can accomplish this as they work through each activity. These activities focus on exploring and discovering the skills necessary to be a great musical theatre actor (singing, dancing, acting). Each workshop will require a registration fee to participate. All students who register for the performance based workshops will be cast in a role and NO AUDITION is required. |
